Volcano Merapi in Indonesia eruction left a grey and horrible landscape of death.

This picture is from the archeological site of Pompeii (near Naples);
The city was destroyed and completely buried during a long catastrophic eruption of the volcano Mount Vesuvius spanning two days in 79 AD.

I cannot see the differences between 79 AD and 2010.
