Ai Wei Wei sign in Serpentine's Pavillion 2012

martedì 26 giugno 2012
Some days ago from Twitter i read about this news about a "Pavililon" designed by Herzog & de Meuron and Ai Weiwei in the Serpentine Gallery in London. Every year there's a new pavillion open for a limited time. The first image i've seen was a view from the sky:

Very impressive, a piece of sky reflected, it seems a huge windows to somewhere?
And the inside is a womb of peace for the visitors, stones and water.

Julia Peyton-Jones, Director, and Hans Ulrich Obrist, Co-Director, Serpentine Gallery, said: "It is a great honour to be working with Herzog & de Meuron and Ai Weiwei, the design team behind Beijing's superb Bird's Nest Stadium. In this exciting year for London we are proud to be creating a connection between the Beijing 2008 and the London 2012 Games. We are enormously grateful for the help of everyone involved, especially Usha and Lakshmi N. Mittal, whose incredible support has made this project possible."
A connection bewteen Bejing and London. Another structure to be amazed, to relax.
A temporary english dream that is very different from the collective and big red "dream" of Beijing 2008, apart from Ai Wei Wei sign.

Come to see it if you are or you will be in London:

1 June - 14 October 2012
